Hey friends! This is the start of my first blog. I have been wayyy to intimidated to start blogging even though I have thought about it for years. I'm not a very tech savvy person and unfortunately I'm only 24 ( that means I should be awesome at this stuff, right?). I'm hoping I will learn throughout this process- honestly I don't even know how to upload a picture to my blog right now, but will learn somehow! Moving on, I love interior design and gather TONS of inspiration from blogs. I want to be able to inspire others with some of my creative ideas as well. My husband and I just bought our first home and I want to show our progress and ideas to others.
Currently I am in Paris visiting my in laws (I'm entirely too lucky), and am gathering a ton of inspiration here for my new home. I'm not even into the whole French chateau style, but there are some seriously amazing details here. First, every door is off the chain awesome! I'm talking delicious, tall, lacquered doors with huge brass hardware. Like whoa, bring it on... Also I have a weird thing for tassels and have to buy a million while I'm here. Pink tassel over a ginger jar? Yes please. I will put them on lamps, door knobs, armoirs, etc etc etc!! They are fab.
I'm not sure about y'all, but I personally LOVE finding treasures at antique stores, junk store, Craigslist, etsy or Habitat for Humanity. I'm really hoping to find some amazing flea markets and shops. I will share how it goes and hopefully some pictures soon. I'm an amateur, you must forgive me! Thanks for stopping by!
